Greenwood Ranch

The Greenwood Ranch is where it all began when Vincent and Marjorie bought this ranch in 1972. At the time, the property was planted in mostly prunes, walnuts and a few grape vines. Vincent, with the help of the Greenwood neighbors, replaced the prunes and walnut orchards with wine grapes. These original plantings were varieties popular at the time such as Napa Gamay.  Today, it is planted in Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Sangiovese and Merlot. There are two special blocks:  Collin’s Cabernet and Greenwood Ranch Petite Sirah. Collin is the oldest member of our 3rd generation. His Cabernet was planted the year he was born, 2008, and is a large component of our Cabernet Sauvignon Winemaker Reserve blend.  The second special block is the Petite Sirah.  The fruit off the Greenwood Ranch is hand-crafted into our single vineyard Greenwood Ranch Petite Sirah. The soil on the Greenwood Ranch is very unique and gives the Petite Sirah grapes off this vineyard amazing flavors found only on this ranch.

Rattlesnake Acres

Rattlesnake Acres is an amazing piece of property that we Estate manage.  It is owned by the Enderlin family and we have farmed the property for several years.  We are fortunate to have a long-term lease for the property so we will be able to enjoy the fruits off this land for many, many years to come. Some of our oldest vines reside on Rattlesnake Acres. Here is where you will find the famous Rattlesnake Petite Sirah and Rattlesnake Acres Cabernet. We also grow Tempranillo and Zinfandel on here too. Both the Petite and Cabernet have been designated as single vineyard lots for the winery.  This Petite Sirah is so popular, it sells out before bottling and although only in it’s first year, the Cabernet will likely follow suit just because it is simply that good!

We have also implemented the Forest-to-Barrel where winemaker, Matthew Moye, follows the barrel making process from beginning to end; starting with sourcing the very best oak and finishing by customizing the cooperage methods for this oak such as aging time and barrel toasting.  The final varietal on this parcel is our Tempranillo. Tempranillo is a Spanish grape and since the Arroyo family’s roots run deep in Spain, we decided to pay homage to our heritage.  The special thing about Tempranillo is that not much is planted in the Napa Valley so this wine is truly a one of a kind each year.

Albright Ranch

The Albright Ranch is located directly across from the winery. On this ranch we grow Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. The fruit off this ranch always finds a special place in our wines each year. The Petite Sirah is a big component of our Winemaker Reserve Petite Sirah every year which we consider to be the very best Petite Sirah that we can make each year. The Cabernet Sauvignon just started producing enough for the harvest last year.  It is named after the middle son of the 3rd generation, Grayson.  We started used the fruit from Grayson’s Cab to make our Bodega blend and it complements it’s neighboring Malbec vines from this Ranch very well.   If you haven’t tried the Bodega, we would suggest trying it because it is certain not to disappoint.

Lone Tree Ranch

The Lone Tree ranch is home to our most recent plantings. The “Lone Tree” is a lone Redwood Tree that sits in the middle of the vineyard and is surrounded by nothing but grape vines.   It is a land mark that is hard to miss!  Here we grow Sangiovese and Petit Verdot. The Sangiovese is one of our most popular wines each year and often sells out before it’s even released.  Although we don’t have very much of the Petit Verdot planted at the Lone Tree Ranch, it always finds a home in our Bodega blend where it blends to perfection with Grayson’s Cab and Malbec.

I am 21 years of age or older.
